Ok, I think I'm going to do that kind of setup instead of a y-pipe when I do stacks.

It is a lot cheeper that way and you can keep it close to the floor.

With 3/16" thick steel, you could ramp other vehicles on it and it wouldn't bend.

HARD TO FIND 5'' TUBE THAT IS THINER.

I've got a 5 foot chunk of 2x6 rec. tube that I might use. Would it be too constrictive? Probably won't do stacks on this truck especially if it sells later this week but if I can pick up the PSD I found I'll stack it. So would 3" into this 2x6 i be ok? I plan on running 6" aussies or bull haulers, haven't decided which would look better on an 97 ext cab LB.

That should work just fine. I have the ausseis and i like them.

I'm saying it's good it's thicker steel. You can still throw stuff in the bed and not worry about munging it up.
