Tulsa Test & Tune 11-7-2008 (it was cold tonight!!)
First Pass I ran my fuel mileage tune & went about 3/4 throttle = 12.64 @ 112.93 mph
Second Pass I still kept my fuel mileage tune in & went WOT - 12.44 @ 113.67 mph
Third pass I loaded in the first step up from my daily driver tune and went 12.27 @ 113.70 mph.
My 60' times still suck (2.256 - 2.024) and I am not lauching hard at all.
My driver's side exhaust was leaking badly by the time I got back to the pits so I shut down early and limped back to Springdale (with no boost and an annoying header/up-pipe leak)!!! If this turns out to be an easy fix I plan on being back at the track next Saturday.
I was cutting .2 - .3 tenths off each pass with some very conservative fuel tunes. Injection Timing & PW are at 60% of what I feel is safe maximum for a stock bottom end. It is no longer a question of if my truck will run 11s on a stock long block but only how far into the 11s it will go before hurting a piston or head gasket. I would have been there tonight but the exhaust saved me from myself. A new short block with aftermarket rods, pistons, cam, & CNC'd heads is just about done. That will make next spring even more fun.....
