What all is done to the truck? This is mine removing the last few miles off my 325/60R18 Nitto's. Yours sounds good for a 7.3

Tough crowd!!!

Nice burnout Preacher. I'm scared to go for too long because I've seen a couple of videos of bedsides being ripped off. That doesn't sound like too much fun to me...

tiremann9669 06-28-2010 07:28 PM

Thats fun but I bet you spend a lot on tires :s:

biged681985 06-28-2010 10:11 PM

is this supposed to be just a burn out thread for you, or do u want people to show ya how to do one? :tttt:

ForcedInduction 06-29-2010 12:02 AM

So you've got poor traction? Whats the point of showing that to everyone?

I was more worried about the engine. Notice the up-pipes glowing? lol EGT's were buried at 2000, trans temp was pegged at 300, engine temp was pegged at 260, the rear brake rotors were glowing, lmfao. Usually as long as your rolling your not gonna shred a tire, at least not so quickly you can't shut the truck down before it rips the bed apart. I did that burnout just for the hell of it, they wanted good video for the club and I gave it to them.

I've got plenty of traction. It's called 4x4.

biged681985 06-29-2010 09:49 AM

this aint mine, but it is chris (xzaq103) from SDX

theSLEEPER 06-29-2010 10:22 AM

NICE!! Those trucks definately have a few hundred more HP than me! LOL

biged681985 06-29-2010 10:36 AM

mine was only at 321 for the regular burn out, and around 375 when i was doing the dough nuts.

heres one of my truck bone stock besides a a set of 40 ove injectors. probably around 220ish at the wheels at a TC that was slipping like a mofo

biged681985 06-29-2010 10:39 AM

once i get the truck running again, im wanting to get some new vids, since i dont have any burn outs with the stack, or the 400+ hp im pushing.

WTF ever hear of fun it is a burnout thread. By the way very nice burnouts guys one of these days I'll have to get a burnout video up

theSLEEPER 06-29-2010 12:42 PM

Wow. Really biged? Those are good burnouts! It may be the big wheels or wider tires, I've never been able to get that kind of wheels speed. What method are you using? I've got mine in drive with the OD turned off. I'm pretty close to 350rwhp.

biged681985 06-29-2010 01:54 PM

floor it, and hold the breaks, then slowly release the brakes till the tires get to spinning, the continue to slowly release them.

the dough nuts were with 305-75 16 good year wranglers, tires were heavy as hell.

RSWORDS 06-29-2010 02:23 PM

I've got 325/60R18's, locked my truck in 3rd gear, was running a wheel speed of 85 mph+ at a lil over 4600 rpm. I need to get a video of me drifting and doing donuts, I have a lil over 500 rwhp so it will break those big 13" rear tires loose fairly easy. Now if my trans would just handle the hp I might be able to get my 12 second slip

DIRTYMAX2004 06-29-2010 03:34 PM

best i got. this is from last year about this time

Nice vids guys! :rocking:

theSLEEPER 06-30-2010 07:22 AM

Heck yes! I'll have to work on my performance for next time! I think if I really stand on it and go WOT, and maybe let the tires heat up a little more before getting it moving, it'll make for a bit better burnout. I just put new tires on though, so hopefully I'll have more power by then as well. :c:

DIRTYMAX2004 06-30-2010 08:10 AM

i hold it in one spot till i hit good rpms in 3rd then release the brakes and enjoy the ride. its a lot harder with the 35s then it was when i had 33s. oh and be prepared to replace your rear breaks.

Diesel Dummy 06-30-2010 10:00 AM

Clearly not if you can spin the tires on a dry surface.

Yes, my intellect should be in question here, as I am arguing with a person completely ignorant to the subject at hand.

"Why do you say I am ignorant?" you may ask? Well, the fact that you are in a burnout thread, discussing traction, with a whole group of guys with 8000lb 4x4 trucks. That, in my opinion makes you a DA. Sorry, the truth hurts. There's a whole grip of guys like you out there on the internet. I call them "neigh-sayers", , I have the patience for at the time. You may want to reassess your position in this thread.

Have a great day!

Denial and anger, you've passed the 1st and 2nd stages of depression. Don't worry, you'll come to accept your problem some day. :tu:

i thought this was a burnout thread? not argue with the DA who sees no fun in a good burnout. and traction has nothing to do with it cus i could burn down my new 33/285/16 hankook MT's at half pedal if i want to and you can see what i have done to my truck

ForcedInduction 08-12-2010 07:23 AM

Actually, a burnout is nothing but loss of traction.
