roll in bed liner

i put a roll in bedliner this weekend and failed miserably :argh: as soon as i went to rinse if out 36 hours later, a bunch of it just washed right off. i was going to sand the areas down that it didn't stick on, i was wondering if you may have and tips or tricls to get it to stick a little better. i was told about some self etching primer that you can get at menards. just wanted some other opinions :humm:

Unfortunately that stuff is crap.i tried it years ago and it just flaked out even with good sanding.its best to save up some money and get the rhino or linex done its worth it

sorry to hear that bud yeah i was just about to say just pay for the spray in. it will be worth it in the long run even a good roll in liner will scrap right up with even a light load

My friend did it on his on truck. And it was probably one of the best roll on jobs I ever seen. He took a day for just prep, sanding, cleaning the whole bed then he parked in the garage did one coat, let it dry for 24 hrs and went back and did two more coats I think. And it held up through four wheelers, ramps, and misc. Stuff he threw back there I was quite surprised how well it did. I would save up for line x myself but if its not an option good prepping and a few extra coats wouldn't hurt.
