Gauges should be your first investment.

How much would those cost including installation

95powersmoker 03-30-2012 10:11 AM

500 bucks give or take...

You should do gauges, intake, and exhaust. Those should be done first.

How much hp does ur truck make. I already have intake and exhaust and a super chip dont really have the money for a new turbo

Don't know, never had it on a dyno... Enough to drive and be happy with it for now...

Next steps are more expensive and a bit of a slippery slope, what are your power goals and is there a budget?

I want to get somewhere around 500

95powersmoker 03-30-2012 10:47 AM

What kinda transmission do you have? Also, do you know if your truck has PMR's or forged rods? You're going to want to know for sure because it's going to be a deal maker or breaker for 500... https://www.dieselbombers.com/99-03-...tml#post527811

You're going to need hybrid injectors 238/100's, a turbo (H2E, QSSB), springs, studs, pushrods, regulated return fuel system, and some custom tunes to put it all together... $5000 in performance parts assuming you do the work and either a built auto (another 4-5k dollars) or a good strong clutch.

What do you use your truck for? Is it just a play truck?

:c:

Kinda all purpose but I don't pull anything heavy

In my personal opinion a 400hp truck is more than enough truck for an all purpose truck... 500 is a quick number that almost everybody throws out there but I don't think many realize what that really means or does... Nor do they look at a reliability/long term factor...
