Yea thats what I came up with. Looks like for now Im running a single GQSSB (pending back order) and going to go from there but still really want to play with some options at some point.

Talk to WOP about this, they've built plenty of 7.3's, and they have Pius Bell designing their turbo options last I knew. I can't think of anyone better to design a turbo...

I've seen some pretty sick builds come out of the WOP shop.

A GQSSB and the Aurora turbos are entirely to small if you go with injectors of that size

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

To get a turbo to clean up that kinda fuel you will need something in the S475 range with a race cover and may need a little laughing gas to clean up the top end fuel. Compounds would be the most streetable setup however the cost of those is high. What cam are thinking of using?

Was planning on running WOP's Race custom grind. Somewhat streetable/ tow capable is the goal. What compounds would you suggest???

I would call Jacob at Wide Open.....I do know their biggest compound set up that allows you to keep the AC and Heat in place will support around 725 on fuel. But with that big of a injector you will need to spray the top end i think

For compounds with those injectors... I would say a Garrett GTX4294Rhttp://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbocharger with it gated to 20-25 PSI with a .96 A/R housing(or smaller But will need custam made..... Or this one>>>Comp Turbo - CT5 7282 Gated at 20-25PSI, with a .90A/R Or 1.00A/R T4 foot housingToped by a no smaller then a 90mm inducer turbo... 95mm and bigger would be better.. Say like this turbo>>>Comp Turbo - CT6 98106Or this oneComp Turbo - CT6 106112 Or this one....http://www.compturbo.com/products/ct6billet/ct6_112112 And this one for 400+CC injectors would be my choice for a top charger.. It would spool good to.

Say I have a turbo with a 96mm Inducer and 156mm Exducer on the comp side that would work :w2:

On a side note.. this would be my choice for a top charger>>>Comp Turbo - CT5 7282 And this for the top Charger>>>Comp Turbo - CT6 112112 They would spool good and make a ton load of power!!! And with 400+CC B-codes you will need all the air you can get!! Well that all depends on the size nozzle you use...

have fun!!!!:tu:

ok so yall tell me this, why would a S366 over S488 or S510 not work?

It would work.. BUT would be really smoky!!! The 7.3L has the 5.9L beat by 1.4L And that for some reason requiers a LOT more air.. Exsecaily with 400+cc B-Code Injectors. BUT all that depends on the nozzzle size.. My guess is the injector will have 400% Bigger nozzles then the factory injectors.. So that would make them (if he just has 400cc Injectors) 400/400 injector, Wich with the right mods can make 850 to 1000rwhp IF you have the right mods to back them up.. The turbo setup you mensoined would get him in the 750 to 800 whp range.. AND would be really smoky if you tryed to use all the fuel in the Injectors... So in order to burn the fuel he has, He will want a 70mm+ high preasure turbo and a 95mm+ top end charger.. AND even with that he could still be some what on the little side..

I guess a guy could use smaller chargers then use N.O.S to clean up the smoke.. BUT why do that when you can build the right setup to not need N.O.S ???

ANd why not use the big chargers, After all the 7.3L with the 400/400 would spool a 74mm with a 100+mm top charger quit good.. A lot of it is in the tunning to..

Hope this help you!!! The 7.3l can spool BIG chargers...

I mean even 300/200 injector can spool the turbos I suggested.. Just would limit you to about 600-650rwhp.. (because of the small injectors) BUT would be very clean burning!!!

take care

David

You could use a external gate on the pedastal of the s366. You route the wastegate line from the external gate to the hot pipe and when the external gate opens you use that pressure to help spool the big charger. I have seen this same same concept on some 5.9's with like a small high pressure turbo like a aurora 3000 over a aurora 8000 and 2 external gates. The small charger acts as like a shot of nitrous to help spool the large charger and then as the external gates open up it helps drive the big charger. I think this same principle will work on a 7.3
