If you were even thinking about blowing 17k on that 7.3, snatch up that 6.0 right now. By the time you put a couple grand in the motor (probably doesnt even need it), you will be one happy camper. Buying lifted trucks can be a hassle as you do not know what components have been switched and they do wear very quickly compared to stock, been there done that and it sucks. Good luck though, I would never pay more than 15k for a 7.3 unless it was a show truck

the only time i would pay over 15K for a 7.3 is if it had ungodly low miles. there was a 2001 cc, lb dually auto out here. 18,500 ORIGINAL miles, $22,000. i wish i had the money.

It all depends on your area too. Just check kbb and determine what wholesale value on the truck is. Thats what I usually offer.
Here on the west coast dealers are making the prices of 7.3s go througth the roof. I sold my 05 6.0 back in december and wanted to get back into a 7.3. After I started looking I was amazed of the prices some of these dealers are demending for low mile 7.3 trucks. A few dealers in cali 2002-03 7.3 with 110-150Kmiles asking 19-23K. I picked up my White 2002 CCLB XLT with gray interior, 98K, amp steps, a 6" lift BRAND NEW procomp wheels and 35" mickey tires, spray in bedliner and a few other goodies for well under blue book. |
