Oil consumption?

You do an oil change, confirm you have properly filled it with oil, when is the next time you add oil, next oil change, after 2000 miles, how low is it at the next oil change?

Re: Oil consumption?

2000 is not very long to run your oil. You can extend that out and go 3000-4000 miles. I have never know if mine burns oil or not I have always had oil leaks.

2000 F-250 143000+ I go 5000 miles on ever oil change and have always. Never needed to add a drop of oil.... Been a great truck but just burnt the tranny so workin on tha now.....

4500 miles on the '00 (cross-country trip and started with almost 2000 miles on the oil already) and it's still as honey-colored as new oil and down on the dipstick about 3/16".
