Pull your filter off, run your hand up and down the intake tube and tell me if you still like that dry filter!:humm:

You could get a different out come with an oiled filter. You do get some gunk even after you do the CCV mod. I stopped using the oil filters. It's time consuming cleaning them, and after a few dozen cleanings they start to deteriorate. So if I have to replace I'm going with the dry and a pre filter.
I will not because of what I have seen... Not what I think...:argh: |

The two trucks I have removed dry filters on were both work trucks, very dusty conditions and very hard worked. Intake tracks were dusty like a window sill.
Just keep an eye on it. I clean my oiled filter about every 30k, replace it when ever it gets a hole or I want too... |

I run a dry filter because it works best for me. When i drive on gravel or dirt roads I remove it, smack the dust off, check intake tubes, if clean, put it back together. Most of my driving is on blacktop or pavement. If you drive on alot of gravel or dirt, you may want to do like CSIPSD, the oiled filter will catch the dust better than a dry. As far as a battery tray, I wouldn't unless my factory tray was about gone...IMO
