7.3 EGT issue, advice please

4" exhaust intake TS tuner Moved the EGT probe to the pipe going to the turbo Installed "swamps" single shoot 175/145 injectors had them reburn my chip Issue : in race when to really get in to it, very little smoke (compared to before) and the EGT will go all the way to 1500 once you get out of it it comes right back down to about 400/500...doesn't seem much faster then it was either. Got the tune be wrong? Running to lean? |
I don't understand swamps sizing but you can check 1500 isn't that hot if it only does it when you really get on it.

I have always heard 1250 was the max. The other thing I noticed today was That the shift points are so hard you would think the trans is coming out! In race mod it will turn on the check engine light as well. Could it just be a bad tune? Has anyone had issues with the swamp tune? I think I want to send it back to tony wildman for a reburn, but I don't know what "stage" those injectors would be considered. Thanks in advance for any input on this!

1250 max for an extended amount of time. You can go over that for short bursts. I have never ran swamps tunes but I have run wildmans and they are great. I would also recommend gearhead. Should be able to get it retuned so the shifts are not so harsh.

Next thing is....tony wildman ask what injectors you have as..stage 1, stage 1.5 , stage 2..ect.. mine are "175/145 single shoot" any ideas what "stage" I would consider this??? |

Do you have a stock HPOP? I'm wondering if your running out of oil and that's why ur getting the high egts without the added power :humm:
