2002 f250 problem

Working on my 2002 f250. Got my auto-locking hubs to lock finally!!! Tried it out and everything work great. So I took it out of four high and tried four low. Worked good. Shut truck off for about 15 minutes. Got back in and won't engage now. What am I missing here. I figured by bypassing the vacuum lines and manually locking hubs in it would work.

What do you mean it would not work?

Are you in 4low or 4high?

Turning off the truck will have no effect on the transfer case as far as engaging or disengaging the operation of the 4wd.

I tried both high and low. Tried engaging in park, neutral, and in gear. Now the lockers are auto lockers. The only way I can manually lock these is by taking them off and pushing on the inside until it pops out.

So your hubs are shot first off... You should be able to turn the hubs to LOCK or AUTO. put them in lock.

As far as the switch goes, have someone check to make sure when you flip the switch that the Tcase motor engages. Will take two people.

Ok I'll try the switch. But back too the hubs. These hubs are auto hubs only. I've had one set that read auto and lock. These have no writing on them. The inside is 90% plastic with which looks like a plug in. Have no clue what that is but there completely vacuum operated. So for starters I'm tracing back from the hubs and I know I've got a vacuum leak somewhere. Just need to put my vacuum pump on it and find it. But I'm trying to figure out if its somewhere else as well. Maybe a fuse which I have no idea where those are all located. ??

NO ford superduty came with hubs that did not have a switch. So they are broken, or not factory hubs.

Snap a picture of them.

If you had a manual T case you get hubs that say Lock and Unlock. If you have an electric Tcase you get Auto or Lock...
