is internatinal still making the 7.3???

ok i saw something very interesting. I saw a newer if not brand new UPS truck and it had a 7.3 and was manual too???

No 03 was the last year for the 7.3 no thanks to emissions, everything went downhill from there. :c:

so why did a newer ups truck have a 7.3 in it???

tiremann9669 04-15-2012 08:22 PM

Unless you know for a fact that it was newer than 03 I'd have to say it didn't. Otherwise IDK unless it's like big trucks where you can buy a glider kit and put your drivetrain in it. :c:

Not sure but I know newer like 05s from Australia and places still had the 7.3

I've seen as new as 07 in Australia. However they wouldn't pass emissions here. It is true that medium duty trucks have it a little easier than our trucks, but a "new" truck wouldn't have a T444E. Perhaps they dropped a new body on the old truck to save costs.

it was for sure newer than a 03, i would say it was a 08-11 atleast, i was gonna go talk to the guy driving it but he got away, thats the only thing i could think of is they put the motor in a newer body

How do you know it had a T444E?

97t444e 04-15-2012 10:17 PM

by how it sounded and iv heard my share of 7.3s

UPS uses a few motors and I have mistaken some for a 7.3 a few times, but I never thought that they were one. Many are IH motors, so they are similar, but if you didnt actually see the motor I doubt it was a 7.3.
