238 cc hybrids

What is magical about the number 238?

they are easy to build

...why? What makes them easy to build?

Let me try this: why not 235 cc or 240 cc?

Don't quote me but its more or less taking the plunger and barrel out of a B code and putting them in an AB code core. Other sizes require machining parts.

That's what I figured also, and will assume it is correct unless someone says otherwise.

The other thought I had, and maybe it's only a coincidence, is that a 238 hybrid is about the max for a stock 17* pump.

Next question: Why would someone want a stage 2.5 injector (around 200 cc)when it costs basically the same as a stage 3 (238 cc)? The only reason I can think of is to limit the power. Couldn't you accomplish the same thing through tuning and then be able to upgrade later with a much cheaper reburn? Is a 200 cc injector better than a 238 cc for some reason if both are tuned for the 200 cc capacity (assuming same nozzle)?
