Obs won't run when warm
 

So, I bought this 1995 psd, drove it 70 miles and it died.
Won't restart till it sits for a while.
Towed to mechanic that put is diagnostic
Machine on it, runs fine, everything checks out
Then it loses connection with the truck and it dies
Hpop shows 600 psi at idle, 2000+ at 2000 rpm
All sensors are reading right, then BLAM dies
Won't restart! Any suggestions? I'm on disability
So I can't afford to just throw random parts at it

It dies and won't restart til cold? Sounds like ipr orings to me.

Would that make the diagnostic tool loose contact with the truck
It's so frustrating that it was showing that everything

How are your fuses? When it shuts off, is it doing anything else besides just shutting down? I have no clue why it lost connection with the scanner... But lets focus on the random shut down issue first... Any other details you can give us would be great, does it restart after shutting down?

It won't restart till you let it sit for an hour or so

You could hit it with ether but would die as soon as the ether burned out

could it be the pcm? the guy at oriellys says there is a relay that turns the pcm on that could be getting hot and kicking off? can any of this be true. i just got the thing and know nothing about these except ive always wanted one. it is at a shop know but he has no idea either

Don't use ether anymore. Bad crap happens with ether on a truck with glow plugs...

It doesn't sound like a PCM issue to me. Were there any trouble codes present when he plugged the diagnostics to the truck?

Just found out tonight that the driver's side
Battery gets hot to the touch and the batteries are dead in the mornings

you got a current drain and a short some where.

I just wonder if the short somewhere isy problem? Or is there other problems!

Ordered the ipr reseal kit today, won't be in till Saturday so let's cross our fingers that this fixes it
