cheap and easy up pipes?
just wondering how hard it is to fix leaking up pipes, I saw a pair from strictly diesel was $800!!! thats way outta my price range and I heard they are a bitch to install. any input?

Im not sure if ur talking the pipe is leaking or if it is the common problem of the exhaust donuts leaking at the y-pipe. Go to orielly and get 2 1/32" exhaust donut for a 70's chevy with a 350. It is pretty easy to do search for how to's and this is a good site to look into

Whichever ones you go with it seems liek the best idea is to take your donuts and pipes to a muffler shop and have them expand the pipes so the dounts fit snug. my new Ford donuts fit like crap as did the parts store GM 350's.

are they very hard to replace on OBS trucks?? I know I have to remove the turbo, I assume I have a leak because my firewall is covered in black soot. when I bought the truck the downpipe was loose so I thought that was the problem.

If your hardware is rusted up, it will be a nightmare at best.

I have not found any for the OBS, and I have looked high and low.:nope:
Do not waste your money on the brass donuts from Beans, they will not seal. |
Did you re-torque the brass ones 2 and 3 times when hot like they recommend?
