Valve cover gasket plug. Look to see if it looks burnt. That will cause short to ground

Will do, gaskets are new and the harnesses on the passengers side under the valve cover are new as well. Didn't replace the ones on the drivers side, did put a new gasket on tho. Is this code for the drivers side, says left side.

just a side note:

My truck was acting very similar. Went to Napa got a Cam Shaft Position Sensor, put it in and same thing. Spent two days problem solving it and nothing came of it. Needed my truck for works so I broke down and took it to the dealership, an engine diagnostic and $300 later they gave it back to me and it was fixed. They charged me for putting in a new Cam Shaft Position Sensor. Long story short the Napa part was bad, cost me $300 to find out. Is there a way you can take the sensor out and check that it is functioning properly?

Well I pretty much determined the IPR was the problem, got a kit and went out to start on it only to figure out I don't have a 1 1/8 in deep well socket so I was screwed until I could get one. In the process I realized the sylanoid was loose on the IPR and remember reading that if the nut that holds it was loose it would cause the problem I have been having. Will drive it and see if it was, might end up being an easy fix.:pca1:

Well let it idle for an hour before we went out of town for a long weekend. Hooked it to out bass boat and away we went, never shut it down as the dogs were in the back seat so when we stopped they were very appreciative of the AC. 5 hours later we pull in to out destination and shut her down, never missed a lick. Amazing that a nut being loose a half a turn could cause the issues we have been having. Thanks to all that replied.
