2011 F450 Fuel Mileage
 

I have 12.5K on my truck. My mileage empty was been 15-16 @70 mph. With the camper only, 11.0 to 12.5 @70 depending on wind resistance. Adding a 20' car trailer, 7500 gvw, the mileage @70 is 7.5 to 10.5 with wind also being a factor. Wonder what you other guys are getting?

empty my dad is getting 17.5-19.3 and with a gooseneck trailer and an 2009 ccsb powerstroke behind he was getting 13ish

That's similar to what my '98 E350 is still getting with a stock 7.3 PS with 414K. New isn't always neccessarily better.:humm:

apples to oranges my friend, you're talking an engine with almost 2x the power output from the factory, gobs of emissions equipment, and if it's a 450 undoubtedly higher/lower gear ratio however you wanna look at it, your e350 probably has 3.73's wheras the 450 probably has 4.88's which is gonna put the rpm higher which is also going to burn more fuel

4:11s in the 2011 450 rear ends this year to improve mileage. I just did 500 miles yesterday on a trip avg 17.2 (no real load). I can't complain. Your right apples to oranges. Ford dealer was touting much better loaded mileage with the 6.7 than the 6.4. It is better but not big as they initially claimed. I am happy with the truck, plenty of power and the new turbo gives it big acceleration.

yeah I don't ever believe what a dealer says when it comes to mileage claims, was test driving a 6.0 for a friend and the salesman from the ford dealership reset the average mpg calculator on the interstate going 65 and tried telling me once it started leveling out that i can expect to get about 22.5 mpg on the interstate and i just turned and laughed at him

i'm trying to talk him into making all that emission B.S. go M.I.A. but he wont just yet

they already don't do half bad from the factory as far as mileage is concerned, but it'd be nice to see what they do without it

yeah, i'm sure it'd atleast help out a little bit, maybe not as much as the 6.4 ha but atleast a little

The 6.4 gets awful mileage with the DPF equipment on, we know this. Take it off and guys are getting between 17 and 25mpg (obviously unloaded and LOW cruising speeds, like ~50mph).

The 6.7 gets pretty good mileage from the factory thanks to the urea injection. IF you want to get rid of the emissions stuff H&S already has programmers out and there are tunes to shut off emissions stuff. I know Rudy is selling them, as well as a few others.

The mileage seems pretty good factory on the 6.7's though, far better than the 6.4's and with more power to boot!
