Yeah call ford.

i hate to hear what you are going through, but i agree, your best bet is to call ford. you WONT find an "honest" dealer out of any of the big 3. car dealerships over charge for everything they can and i wouldnt doubt it if they didnt tinker with something to force you to have to pay tow truck bills (probably in with the dealership), other work, and so forth.. my advice, go to a completely different dealer and tell them to sit on it.

Still learning how this site works! Must say its great with lots of info and intelligent solutions to various problems! Reading some of the other threads I am amazed at what some people have gone through with their vehicles. Realizing my original thread is long and I do apologize for that, but I wanted to explain everything in the order it happened so hopefully any mechanics or other wicked gear heads on the site might tell me where the dealer started to go wrong here:humm: This is so frustrating! Please tell me if I am off base but when my truck went in the first time for the water seperator light issue would that not have been the time to change fuel filters or at least inspect the DAMN things!!! Yet the engine oil and filter is changed as part of the QC550 Service?? :humm:I do not know very much about the fuel system in my truck but the filter at the water seperator would seem to be a likely place to inspect would it not?? Now I'm almost wodering if there is some type of recall They did not tell me about for the High Pressure Pump at the engine? could it have been prematurely wearing out sending who knows what into the the rest of the engine and contaminated the oil as well, hence the recommended oil and filter change?? I mean why the hell would it just die 4 miles from the dealership after being in their professional ever caring hands. Please if anyone has an opinion on this or if I am totally wrong let me know I can take it:argh: and THANKS!!!! I love this site!!!!

I'd be on the phone with ford customer service, not the dealer and it wouldn't be pretty. :c:

Strokin' Away Typically if this happens, the whole fuel system gets destroyed... the injection pump and injectors too. If it came in for a water in fuel light that wouldn't go off, it seems like their problem though. I'd definitely fight this, because it's going to get really expensive, really fast. |
Unfortunately if Ford won't stand behind their warranty it's time to get a lawyer involved before you spend any more on the truck.(mention the lawyer to customer service if they say they can't help you). I prefer to avoid lawyers, but if Ford isn't going to make the situation right, especially after the behavior of that dealer, it might be your only option. Good luck.

its sad we live in a world where you have to pay a man a REDICULOUS price to prove the OBVIOUS fact that this IS covered under warranty work. just plain stupid...
i wish you the best of luck, and im sorry that you have to go through this with a new truck. ill never buy another ford again, honestly... i love my truck, but its rediculous at how sloppy all ford dealers are.. im sure its not much different in dodge/chevy though |
The 6.4 is very picky about the fuel put into it.
Just playing devils advocate here... how did the truck get solid material in the fuel system? Why is there dirt/water in the upper fuel filter? How often are fuel filters changed and what brand? All your services are done @ the Ford house? |
I felt bad for you man. Well, for me,Ford automobiles are extremely dependable and sturdy, which is why I think every person should choose a Ford. There is a website that can help you find a dealership with your area; it helped me find Gus Johnson Ford in Spokane to help me locate the ideal Ford for me. Have you been looking to sell or purchase a used or new Ford Escape Ford Expedition Ford Explorer Ford Flex? If this seems like you, get a quote at Spokane car.
