6.4 Worried

I just bought a 2010 6.4 FX4 DRW. Found out about problems with 6.4 after purchase. It now has 84000 miles on it and warranty on power train till 100000. Love the truck but after the warranty I will look at The deletes. What do they involve is it just plug and play on the computer? I have watched some of the videos from Powerstroke Help and saw the Bullet proof work he does on the 6.4.

Better hurry up, cause finding a delete tuner is very hard, cause the delete tuners have been banned:dang:

scottsmith1011 08-28-2013 10:42 AM

482roller 09-07-2013 06:41 PM

Got 76,000 on my 08 350. Just ordered a mini maxx race and /cat delete with a cold side intake tube. I hope I'm happy with this decision. I have the extended warranty but no dealers in my area ever wanna cover anything under warranty anyway. Probably will do egr/cooler delete next, gonna see how this goes first. :rocking:

You'll feel the difference right away, I don't regret doing the deletes:nope:

482roller 09-20-2013 06:49 PM

Delete kit install

Well did the delete, programmer, s&b intake and the cold side intercooler tube. Huge difference !!!! I just ordered the egr delete kit. After that I think I'm done. That should keep me from blowing up anything for awhile. Did the dpf/cat and programmer in my driveway by myself in about 3 hours. The worst part was getting the dpf off the tail pipe. Already had the s&w intake on before. The cold side intake tube for turbo took about an hour with shaving the rad support to allow it to fit.:tttt:

6.4stroker 10-02-2013 02:07 PM

Make sure to go to an after market Cold Air Intake. Makes a world of difference over the crappy factory one.

I've been wanting to get one. There's a lot to choose from.

I went with the S&B. I installed it before I did my DPF/CAT/EGR Delete with an H&S XRT Pro. It gave me almost instant throttle response.

JasonG. 02-26-2015 04:34 PM

2009 F350 C&C with 123,xxx on the clock only major issue was all new injectors at 121,xxx. Two were about to bite the dust so the rest had to go too

gunman41mag 04-17-2015 08:01 PM

I'm at 100,085 miles, truck is running, but i have a tiny radiator fluid leak, i haven't been able to find:dang:

Duzer 07-15-2015 02:03 PM

2010 F350 CC 4x4 LARIAT, Deleted at 40,000 after being totally disgusted with performance, fuel mileage and stumbling during passive regen. Actually tried to trade it off for a gasser. One radiatorr, upper and lower hoses and a cruise control module. After delete different truck. Love it,Love it,Love it. I truly believe the delete saved it's life. Blackstone at 265,000 and again at 315,000 absolutely no measurable wear metals. Currently setting at 320,000.

gunman41mag 07-15-2015 09:14 PM

I'm at 104,007 last week had front brakes done, but had one rotor with some wear from the worn brake pads
