What kind of milage are you guys getting with the new PS... i was just talking to a friend who has a 08 f350 dually and he say he's getting 10 miles per gallon in the city... is this right for a fresh enging with 3,500 miles on it...

I talked to a guy the other day, he had 08 6.4ps 3/4ton 4x4 crew cab short bed, said he was only getting 10-12mpg out of it. He didn't say if this was town or highway or what combo of the two.

Both my 04 6.0L Xcab and 05 6.0L Crew cab trucks only got around 13.5MPG.... Airaid Intakes, No Muff or Cat and an SCT....

At that point, whats the purpose of having a diesel. You could buy a ford V10, and get great pulling ability, and the same MPG, with less fuel cost, since diesel is so expensive. Makes me glad I have my cummins that gets 16-17 mpg.

Well that is a pretty new engine at 3500 miles. Diesel Power got a f250 with the 6.4 up to 19mpg on the highway...but that was just one test so I don't know how fair that represents the 6.4. I think overall, all of the new engines will have lower mpg then their predecessors due to regeneration, which increases fuel consumption and probably negates any positive effect by the DPF....stupid EPA:se:
