New to the forums and to diesels! Just picked this up couple weeks ago and threw a 4.5 Ranch on it the next weekend. No Motor mods as of yet. Still researching what I can do without loosing the warrantee.

Just getting started with the 6.4
Got a well loaded 08 Lariat in October. 98K miles. was a fleet truck from Georgia/Alabama area.
I think it's all stock , the rear fender is well dinged up. So far: removed 4 lbs Georgia red clay. - Deleted over 10 codes , relating to air filter, and fuel filters. - New set of brake pads all around and flushed the brake system. - did three oil changes to try to thin out the sludge in the pan. - air filter , new batteries , fuel filters and some oil filters. Trying to locate a spare tire and jack for it. Going to get new wheels and tires. I stacked a pallet in the bed and put three layers of 31, 4D & 8D battery cores separated by cardboard and shrink wrapped , the suspension in the rear went down by about 1/2". My neighbor and I drove it to the recycling center and turned out it was just under 3,300lbs of batteries. Truck was like.. " That all you got??". had decent acceleration , intentionally never slowed for the train tracks and it almost behaved like it was empty. My neighbor that drove with me has an 08 Dodge with the hemi and all he said was "why did I get the hemi! :argh:". My complaints, you can't postpone a DPF session, you ride it out and if you just turn it off it starts all over again. YES I know get the DPF delete done and rip that out. Other complaint the backup parking sensors go nuts if you have the tailgate down. |

thanks man, appreciate it. it ran a 12.2@108 on the factory turbos on fuel only.

lol. i am hoping for 11.90's to 12 flats with current setup (71mm turbo upgrade and a different torque converter)
