Thanks for sharing the pictures Hagalin, looks like a blast! :c: If the code reader isn't coming on to read the codes, the OBD fuse is blown, which is also the cigarette lighter fuse. Have anything crazy plugged into the cigarette lighter port? |
That's fine! Thanks Karl!

You said you have to unplug , fan cluch, ebsensor mass air, ect. does this keep the fuse fom blowing?? if so then an ohm meter will find the problem/ dont put the fuse in but plug all the components back in ad take an ohm rading at the fuse box-load side- to ground, it will be very low resistance, unplug one item at a time to find the shorted sensor, you will see the resistance go way up when the bad one is unplugged.
It is most likely going to be the EBP sensor, they are known for shorting on the early trucks and were takn out of the programming but if they short it can kill the truck. |
Here's what I could find, it's not much, but...
http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pub.../03f23og5e.pdf On page 178 and 179 you will find the location and description of Fuse #22. It is a 22A mini fuse titled Engine Control. What it does, where it goes from here, I have no clue. Sorry that I can't be anymore help than this, but until electricity drips and makes puddles, I'm pretty dumb about it. |
Karl, I'm with you man. I'm going to let Bob handle this one... :tu: haha
