It idled for about ten minutes and I took it for a drive seemed to do ok, just lacking a little power. Let it cool down for a few minutes and now it won't start.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- We replaced the FICM about a year ago. Hope its not that again! |
If the replacement is from the dealer it very well could be... I'd test it out again it's free and takes 5 mins to eliminate that as a problem...
|
If you have to let it cool down to start then its sounding like a high presure ol leak, either dummy plugs and stand pipes or/and/ the stc fitting onHPOP.

How do you check one?

Here is a link to test FICM. |
Need to get it on a scanner and check your icp vs icp desired...
What oil were you running? what oil are you running now? |
I am using Rotella 15 40. It is all I ever use. I will check the icp now.

I had a problem a while back with my truck that would cause it to hard start or no start, and turns out it was the Banks system. For some reason every time I had it plugged in the truck acted like a fool. Have had the Banks off the truck for a little over a year now and no issues have resurfaced. Just my two cents.
|
As a trouble shooting measure, I'd remove the Banks as well. If nothing else, it would rule out the Banks. Removing means exactly that, not just setting it to stock.
|
I've learned my lesson, not to blame Ford for problems. Blame what you put on the Ford for your problems. I took the Banks 6 gun off and problems seemed to have disappeared. Starts and runs great! I would like to thank everyone who gave me ideas and things to try. I really appreciate it!
