Thanks swamp ratt...that's what I needed to know. And yes, the 04.5 and up have them. And I think mine may be on the way out....or my fuel regulator is messed up!

RZRSharp, your test procedure is going to be nothing like ours. They're not the same unit.

Some duramaxes had 96V setups too ( I believe LB7's) then the LLY might be 48V, then I think all the newer stuff is 24 possibly... I know they changed it quite a bit. The early LB7's had issues with them, and I've read about guys swapping LLY heads/fuel system etc to get the 48V setup to the injectors. Lot of work, but some guys with spare stuff laying around tried it out.

SwampRatt, did you end up replacing your batteries and did you re-test the FICM after? Don't bother sending it anywhere until you test it. It only takes a few minutes and an extra set of hands. I'm trying to teach my dog how to turn the key for me :humm:.

Mdub I have not sent it out yet.Batteries have been tested by two different shops and they are good.Getting ready to do another test on it because I was in Tampa for a shut down and on the way back to georgia the engine light went out on its own.I swear these things have a mind of their own.Going to test FICM this weekend.Will post results then.Thanks for the update.If you have any luck with the dog let me know please would like to teach mine.

Mike, if you realy want to test them yourself just get a 60v digital guage and put 2 pieces of wire on it, one with an aligator clamp for the ground and one with a fork terminal, loosen the screw up and put the fork under it then hook up ground. You will be able to sit in the cab with the guage right there, I would put the guage in a small box like radioshack sells for projects because you are dealing with 50v DC. I saw a pic where a guy had a permanant setup like this, he had a guage in his cab, all he did was drilled a small hole in the FICM cover for the wire to go through then he siliconed the hole up after cover was put back on, for someone that test a bunch of them and fixes them I figure it might be something to try, that way you can road test them and see what is going on.

Good thinking Bob. I too have seen the in cab gauge. I've already got a radio shack project box in there for my vegistroke controls. Could get another one and mod them all up like that, put a little digital gauge in there. That'd be pretty slick. Damn you Bob! Now I pretty much have to rig something up. Probably a good idea with all the FICM's that are on/off my truck for testing anyways. I suppose it would be nice to see what it's doing while I'm driving though...

Bob, Any thoughts on a gauge setup? I was looking for a small flat panel type read out. Having trouble finding something. Might have to just get an actual 2 5/16" gauge... but I'm running out of room for gauges! Of course I just sold the last steering column mounted pod I had yesterday... it would have been perfect for that.
