i have a 2006 f-250 6.0 diesel an everybody is telling me i need to put the studs in the heads.do i really need to have this done or not

pretty common to blow head gaskets with stock head bolts running some higher than stock power.:hellox:

my truck is a daily driver.the only thing i am thinking about doing is the exhaust.the rest will be stock

then studs are not really needed, the best investment is a coolant filter:c:

What these guys said. A good set of gauges, the turbo back exhaust of your choice, a coolant filter and an egr delete and it will be pretty solid.

thanks alot for all the help.i just ordered a manaflow 4in straight exhaust.and a bully dog air raid cold air intake.

Yeah, what these guys said, I don't have studs and I have plenty of power on tap, but I let it warm up before driving and I watch my guages, and use the skinny pedal in short bursts, like coming off a onramp and being up to if not past highway speed before merging, just got to be a little smart and know you are driving a 7500lb truck and not a 3200 Mustang..:w2:
