Agreed, FICM testing will only cost you whatever it costs for the kind of beer you drink, and price varies by how many you can drink in the 15 minutes it takes you and buddy/gf/wife/child/dog to help you test it.

i was thinking in the sense that it rather be a little $$$ for the filters and all that rather than a brand new FICM.

he said they were both due anyway, so why not?

he shouldent buy a new FICM, Mdub fixes them. also why not just test the FICM so you know if thats causing your issue

DieselDanBoy 12-11-2011 07:23 PM

thats given if Mdub wants to (which im sure he would), alternative is spend money on a new one (which is what i was assuming).

and i always thought the logical way to diagnose was to eliminate whats easiest first? so you know what its not.

being a technician, this has saved my a$$ more than once.

this is the last thing im gana say...:argh: testing the ficm is FREE and is so easy that it takes LESS time than it takes to do an oil change

Mdub707 12-12-2011 07:43 AM

He has to spend money either way I'm guessing.

He should do both, test the FICM, do the maintenance, let us know what happens!

DieselDan, I wouldn't turn down a FICM fixing for a forum member here no matter what the circumstances. :c:
