Sounds about right... they run about $900 from Ford without programming... I can't imagine paying that much.

Shoot me a PM if you want, I've got to run to the post office tomorrow to send EricC a FICM already, I can send both out tomorrow if you want one. PM me, we can discuss details. :c:

Has the EGR valve ever been out and cleaned on this thing? Turbo boosting up like normal?

reading your questions and answers, very nice and glad to be here. I noticed you said the ficm can be tested, is the test done on the motor or is unit removed? also is this test something i can do? thanks scott

Heres the thing, my batteries went bad too. Once they are bad the ficm gets fried form the low voltage. yes soeme ficm may have bad solder joints, mine did not. Put in a ficm from ebay for 250. Ran much better but in the end still needed one injector.

Oh yeah just the other day check engine light came on. Checked code po299. Low boost to turbo. Here we go again

Yes, very simple to test. You'll need a multi-meter, a buddy to turn the key and a couple small hand tools. A t-20 torx bit will be needed as well on a ratchet.

Let me know what you find on that.

Batteries should always be replaced in pairs. Usually the old one will just drain the new one faster. Did you check the FICM?
