FICM testing

Checking for DC volts when trouble shooting ficm? Also thoughts on Swamps 58V FICM? Performance advantage? Will I pass California smog with the 58V ficm or do things get smokey? :humm:

It wont make it smoke anymore. I've heard good things about the Swamps units. I'd check the voltage and go from there. DC is fine, just read the write-up on the test, or PM me for my cell number and I can walk you through it. I fix my own FICM's.

Mdub, could you send me the link for the thread you wrote that walks through how to resolder these ficm's? I'd greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks a lot

I didn't write it, I just keep copy and pasting it here... I should count how many times a week I copy and paste this link.... it's absurd!

Cold start

Awesome! Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. Jus a suggestion, maybe make
the thread a sticky?? Thanks again

I've been meaning to make one huge thread with all the common 6.0 stuff, including this, and including a lot of part numbers. The thought is there, just need to put it into action now haha. Maybe towards the end of this week I will start doing that, got a lot to catch up on at work right now... :s:

That would definitely be a useful tool for everyone on here
