6.0 pumping oil into cooling system

HELP did egr delete ARP studs black onyx head gasgkets, engine starts after it builds oil pressure within 5 minutes i have no oil on the dipstick! engine runs fine no smoke no smell also it loses oil pressure ater shut down. what i mean if i let it set 5 to 10 minutes i have to crank 20 or 30 seconds to build oil pressure again. then it fires and runs fine but I am building oil water mix in the degas bottle.

Did you replace the oil cooler while you were doing the work? Sounds like a failed oil cooler

zokie 04-04-2011 09:15 PM

yes new high flow oil cooler, egr delete ARP bolts. I think the problem came when i started installing the ARP studs. seems there was some oil in couple of the holes that got in between the layers when I installed the studs. I noticed this on the drivers side and removed head and cleaned the layers. It is up and running now.:jump:

from IPR has wider larger passages

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

did studs gaskets and cooler when i had the problem everything is new, I thought i had found the issue but i was wrong replaced the right side head gasket again seen no signs of failure. pumps over a qt in a mile to the point it overflows the cooling system. pulled oil cooler pressure tested coolent side with cooler in water and now bubbles

Little Luke 04-06-2011 09:54 PM

did you have the heads decked to make sure they are flat?

That doesn't sound good for the quality of the IPR product ......

i would say it was a bad process in manufacturing not sure how it is assembled heat treated or?? IPR has been great for tech support as far as trouble shooting
