There is a setup on ebay, generally around 150 bucks, blocks cooler at both ends has all the gaskets needed, it uses I think it is a 25mm freeze plug on the exhaust side of the cooler, put several of these in and there is no way to tell anything is changed
Why not just go to the auto parts store and buy the freeze plugs for $0.50 a piece? Seems like $150 is a little steep for some freeze plugs... |
Bigman, $150 is the cost of a cheap Actual delete kit. with the cooler deleted, new up pipe, and valve plate

Maybe my eyes are deceiving me, but that up-pipe pictured looks like a straight piece of tube... that would never mount up. The up-pipe has a slight bend in it.

More than likely you're right. I suppose a quick email wouldn't hurt. I wonder what material his up-pipe is...

does anyone have any experiance dealing with the check engine light with a delete?? i think the stealth delete with stock parts is the smartest way but im still on the fence. the bullet proof egr cooler is legal but you still get exhaust routed through the intake which causes problems of its own..

I wish, remember this is for a stealth kit for the poor folks that live in Ca. also in the kit is the intake gaskets, turbo mounting kit and gaskets, it has every part that is needed to block off the cooler on both sides, you can have a blown cooler and still use this kit. No it does not have the new up pipe, you don't need that to do the block off, if you remove the coole all the way as with some kits then you will need it....The whole point of this thread is how to block off the egr without the GOV. knowing that it aint doin squat, the valve stays in but the cooler is blocked off with a solid gasket and plate on intake side and plug on exhaust side so the cooler can be attached to the up-pipe but id does nothing///sorry I didn't explain more about the kit in my first post
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- This is a block off, not delete, remember this thread is about Ca. smog check, if they pop hood and see egr cooler and valve gone it could cost him alot of $$
