Before I spend $600 on a new exhaust I want to see what the delete pipe will do. The cat delete pipe was a big improvement with turbo lag.
|
yeah with the cat and muffler on your diesel engine suffers because cats get clogged the more flow the better you diesel will be
|
I put a light in one end of the cat and I could see a opening about 2" in dia. The truck has much more power but it will also use more fuel. I keep looking at the tack and try to keep it under 2000 rpm. I have to stop with the rocket take offs!

Let it breath!!! Get rid of that thing:tu:

Yup! The cat's on these are not like gas cat's either, they're relatively open, but they definitely muffle some noise out. Ditch it!!! They're easy to swap off and on if need be too.
Rocket take offs for the win! :c: Just for reference a good laugh. When I first got my SCT with innovative tunes, I loaded up an economy tune and drove like a putz. I didn't go above 2000rpm and stayed below 10psi (or tried very hard). I avg'd 15.1mpg. Next tank I filled up, loaded extreme street, drove like a moron redlining and pounding gears, boosted launches, you name it. Avg'd 15.3 that tankful. guess which tune I drive all the time now? :rocking: |
Muffler Delete Pipe Question
Delete everything you can. I have a MBRP 5" turbo back and I love the sound now that I don't have a muffler or cat. At idle it sounds like a jet spooling up and at WOT it is so loud people always turn and look but at cruising speed and rpms it sounds like stock.
