7" for a pretty much stock truck is gonna be way too much. Will it hurt performance? I dunno, you are going to still have a 3 or 3.5" downpipe and probably 4" up to the point of where it goes through the bed. It might be ok, but I haven't tried it nor have read of anyone putting stacks that size on a pretty much stock 6.0.

no it shouldnt hurt it to put a stack on it it will just be like a big tip on a regular exhaust, cause like stated above your still gonna have a 3-4in pipe comin into it so it wont hurt nothin:pca1:

that sounds mean as hell :rocking: but i take it mine wont sound as good as that sense is it still stock right. sorry im still kinda new on what the 6.0 really can do or sound like :w2:

my bosses truck has a edge wit attitude and a cold air intake then i stright piped it with a 6in stack and sounds just like the truck in the video.

you truck stock with just straight piped and stack will sound just like that.

i have an early 04 f250 and i put muffer back 4in grand rock powerflow kit in with 5in bull haulers. it sounds great and i think it performs even better i also have a k&n cold air intake. i would definetly reccomend it you wont be sorry

I used a pry bar and carefully worked it out,its pressed in pretty good. I did this at work with an f-350 and 2 buses that have vt365's in them. Those 3 vehicles now make a mean ear piercing whistle and you can hear it from 1/2 mile away. I'll try to some get pics of how to get it out.:choochoo:

Only certain early '03 6.0 motors have a removable silencer ring on the compressor housing. Otherwise you need to do some machining to remove the ring. For all the work it's little gain for anything that really matters.
