Truck cutting off while driving when hot then cranks back after cool down.
I have a 2004 Ford F250 6.0L and the other day I was turning and got up to about 30mph and the truck cut off. After about 5 minutes the truck cranked back. There's no weird sounds coming from the engine. Anyone know what it might be?

Possibly dummy plugs. Front and rear both side.

Sounds like the "no hot start HPOP issue". :ouch:
The cloth screen under the oil cooler clogs, then fails, sending yrs worth of crud thru the HPOP which then causes the IPR valve screen to fail and sending crud into IPR keeping it from closing all the way. So low HPOP pressure when hot. Mine didn't even throw a code when it started acting up. You will need a scanner to read the HPOP oil pressure when cranking cold and no start hot. How about FICM voltage. If when the FICM gets hot and the output voltage drops.... Could be allot of things, you will need to monitor the most likely culprits. :s: |
