Code p0275?

My 06 F350 is throwing the p0275 code? I found out what it means When maximum/minimum pulse width adder is exceeded and cylinder does not converg a fault is set. I dont understand what that means? can someone fill me in on what causes it and what the fix is?

That's incorrect, not sure where you got that info from...

P0275 is cylinder 5 contribution balance/fault. Most likely injector number 5 needs replacing, but I'd run a contribution test on all injectors first.

How does the truck run now? How old are the batteries? Have they been load tested at all? I'd recommend that, and then test the FICM, you can find the test procedure at the top of the page. Both of those are easy and free to check, and it's smart to eliminate them as possibilities before replacing an injector.

:c:

when at wide open throttle it seems to almost have a miss and when I first start the truck in the morning it will puff alot of white smoke at a takeoff untill its been running for about a half hour or so. The smoke smells like raw diesel. Also my battery light will flicker on and off once and awile, i checked the batts with a meter and they read 13.7 volts. do you think any of these other problems could have something to do with this code?

Yeah basically everything but the battery light describes a bad injector. I'd probably replace that one if it was me.
