First have you ever changed you overflow caps and orings on the injectors? Also check your selector, sometimes they get stuck and suck air. How much fuel is in your tanks?

muddyold7.3 02-16-2012 05:26 PM

o rings and overflows are good i got prolly five gallons of fuel, what selector ?

Your fuel selector valve, it's under your seat. What's the fuel gauge show on the dash. On my dads 92 at 1/4 tank it's empty.

sounds like you've got a pin hole in the supply line, in between the pick-up in the tank and the mech. fuel pump. If it was after the pump you would be able to see fuel squirting out. So i would start there. Also like OKdiesel said the tank switch valve is a possible. I had one that stuck in between tanks, and it would suck air.
:humm:

yea well my mechanic said its for some reason that my motors not burnin fuel right it has somethin to do with the glow plugs?

Oklahoma diesel 02-18-2012 01:45 PM

I've never heard of that, if your glow plugs are bad it will be hard to start, after that it's self sustaining. Plus the glow plug and fuel are 2 different things.
