Flashing overdrive..
 

Hello all, first time posting on this site.:c:

I picked up a 94 f250 idi non turbo, auto., regular cab, 104k orig. miles, later I found out the guy I purchased it from had reset the computer, along with hiding a few other issues.
Anyway, 50-70 miles into my ride home, my dash started looking like Christmas time with all the lights going on, and it got some nice whiplash from the erratic shifting. I crawled my way home and got to work.
Now I know there are hundreds of these flashing overdrive cases across the internet, but I just can't get a grasp on mine.. I keep getting codes 23 & 62. Ones and a while I will get a 10 in there as well, but I have been told the scanner throws the 10 in there to separate the codes?:s: the other day I even got an 11 after the 23, which according to my book stands for something along the lines of "system OK"..
Now, I have adjusted my TPS, I had a mechanic check it over as well. Also replaced my PCM, checked all the wires going to my TPS, all were good.
My reverse lights were working sometimes, and I read that this can cause the flashing OD, had to get my neutral safety switch/harness replaced due to corrosion.

When I reset my codes, the truck acts and shifts perfectly fine, but when those codes come back, it shifts hard.

I am just beginning to get used to re setting my codes because I can't figure this one out, had a mechanic take a look at it who has dealt with these issues on these trucks and he is lost as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the vss on top of the rear differential

Forgot to add, I did that already also.

Do you have the abs module that is located behind the glovebox?

Pull the domelight fuse out for 2 minutes, then reinsert it. :humm:

I replaced the ABS unit that is located under the truck, on the drivers side. I haven't gone behind the glove box, what should I be looking for back there?

As for the dome light, those 2 little spot lights don't work, I replaced the fuse and bulbs, nothing, figured I would let you know incase that helps diagnose it. I'll try pulling the fuse out. Just curious, what will that do?

The fuse also powers a few other electronics and it's one of the fixes most people use for this

Behind the glove box should be a box about 4x6 it's the abs control module

Okay,
I unplugged the fuse(8 on the fuse panel chart), kept it unplugged for a couple minutes. Now should I just replace it? Those little spotlights on the dome light aren't working, but I don't know if that has to do with that fuse or not.

I also looked behind the glove box and I believe I see the ABS module,(just a black box) I took a picture but I don't know how to attach images on this site.

Upload it to some place like photobucket, then click the image picture when making a post, and insert the url of the picture, and yes. Unplug it, and try driving it

Okay.
As of now it's not flashing because I re set it not to long ago.
Now, when I un plug it, will it effect my braking power? Just want to make sure before I smash into the back of someone lol

You're tires will lock up if you slam on the brakes lol
