TRUCK NAMES
 

I read a thread on here that talked about the common nomenclature of the Cummins powered trucks and how we referred to them ie, 1st gen, 2nd gen so on, I am curious how many people name their truck and what the names are. I've been a firefighter for many years and have had my Cummins for 3 years...shortly after I got my truck my buddies started calling me/my truck SMOKE DAMAGE. So I named my truck SMOKE DAMAGE, no one can figure out if it got its name from the fire department or the Quadzilla Adrenaline...I like that its a mystery. So, to make a long story longer, what is the name of everyone's truck?

If I had to name mine it would be Teddy. After Theodore Rosevelt. Why, because it's a rough rid'n SOB.

Mine would be Cowboy Cadillac. Simply because That's What It Is. A Cowboy's Cadillac. And Chris LeDoux even has a song about it.:rocking:

yeah maybe i should. i know i have pics of stuff that i've made/changed, just not overall pics.

imo, i think a trucks name should be called by peoples friends, same with cb handles. my best friend named my truck the green goblin because of the color and all the issues ive had with it.

Mines FarmBoy because i used to farm and ranch and it always had a trailer and a slip tank sitting out in a field

I agree. My Dodge hasn't earned a name yet... The Cruiser is named Jillian.

mine is fummins cause its a ford with a cummins

My dakota I had was called the purple penis eater or PPE because it was little and purple and my friend called it that and it stuck. My new one is called Cummin tow because in the winter we drive around and pull people out of the ditch and she hasnt failed me yet

I have a buddy that calls everything he owns by the name of the guy he bought it from. Mine are Dodgie, the Red One and the Grey one, the 1st Gen, 2nd Gen and the 3rd Gen respectively.

mine has been named hummin cummins by one guy and i named it 2 tone bessy cus we call my buddies 2 tone tessy

well my strokers name is sta puff after the big monster n ghost busters and my 12v is named mox after varsity blues :tu:

my dodges name is black thunder and my buddy has a dmax he named white lightning. got a international dump truck that i named the green monster as a joke and it just kinda stuck

got some in there now for ya.

i named mine big red (pretty self explanatory). my buddys have called it the fire truck, red rocket but i think one of the most clever names i ever heard was clifford :tu:

my dads truck is Smokin' Thunder. my moms truck is a QCSB so its name is Lil' Thunder. Smoking thunder becuase it vibrates everything in the house like thunder and well u can geuss the rest.

Mine is the "Shop Truck"

i dont have one for mine and idk what it will get named but i had a litlle green nissan my buddies named minnie green machine cuz my buddy has a f250 thats green and my little nissan did work more than once pullin out full sized trucks and whippin there butts.

The Rig

mines got 2 first one was the one i came up with and its "the redneck rig" and the other my dad came up with while we were workin on it he called it "the skeeterbilt" cause my given name is skeeter and cause i had peterbilt mud flaps on at the time.

well ive always talked about colts comin untrained ( i.e. buckin, misbehavin in general) so all my friends and barn clients told me i should name my truck "CUMMIN UNTRAINED" typically i wouldnt name mine, but it amuses me when people dont get it!:dang:

Big white or white lightning don't sound too bad though someone even named it dude_57 after my screen name Hahah cause I absolutely use it for everything and I am about to put it on my license plate hahaha

My 78 has always been whitey ( kinda obvious), and my buddies call my 7.3 the "super smoker"

"Otis Freeway". That's the C-10. Never named the D-max before I let it go, but I'm still thinking about what I would name it.

My 01 has the copper paint w/ silver two tone so shes called the "Diesel Penny"

My truck got its name while leaving a doubble T after girlfriend and myself had a quick lunch before a pull. They had the $.50 sticker machines right by the door and in them they had sticky notes that you stick on other peoples back with sayings like " kick me" written on them. Well she bought two notes the first one for her said " whose my daddy". The Second for me said "Underachiever". Ended up cashing in that pull later that day so the name stuck ... fits pretty good too

I call mine Rusty because when I bought her she was well... rusty!

Not so much now, but it pretty much stuck, and its a name to her heritage, and how far I have brought her.

I named my truck Frankenstein because he was in a wreck before I bought him and he got pieced together and brought back to life! :choochoo: so thats my reasoning haha
