I drive a ford with a power stroke and will not change anything till it goes bad. Change oil and do what you should it will last longer reguardless of the engine. An old wise man told me once they build engines to last the more you add shorter the life I do think it is true. I have only changed to a K and M air filter that is it. I plain on getting at least 500,000 out of it just by driving ti right and doing what needs to be done on time.:rocking::pca1:

That are a number of Cummins 12Vs that are over a million miles - and thats not rebuilt.

It has been said that they are not sticking power strokes in to any thing else Why did power block use a duramax in place of the cummins :td: in their pulling rig that they made?:tttt::moon:

Hope power block knows more about Duramaxe's then cummins. A week ago on one of the shows they had a story about the 6.7 cummins and they called the fuel pump a VP44:s: that hasn't been used since 2002. For that to get past 3 guys and there editing I don't think they know much about anything |
My main thing about any engine out their take care of it and it will last longer. That goes for ford, dodge, or chevy take your pick. The rest is just personal opinions. And for the pulling cummins in other trucks it is cheeper to get a used engine that a new one. Not to dash your dreams if I bought a project truck it would be an old chevy and drop a benz motor in it not a cummins that benz motor will do any thing I want it to and more.:jump::pca1:

Hey guys I was... and still am Chevrolet at heart til the day I die. I now own an 01 QC 5spd Cummins and love it. If Chevy had a swingin 60 under the front end, was commonly seen with a tall stick in the floor, and didnt set me back $25,000 for a decent one thats probably what I would be driving. I do have to admit though the Dodge is the farm tractor of the 3.... and I love it!!!!
