both are good products, ive ran thr royal purple in other vehicles before, amsoil is what is used in our farm tractors, good stuff, as for the panty hose, it might, even without it the metal flakes will be easy to see

one thing I JUST did on my truck (granted, it's a 1st gen) was when I'd get on/off the throttle it'd clunk pretty bad, you could definitely feel it but it didn't lurch the entire truck, either. for me it turned out to be my two piece drive shaft, the splined slip joint and drive shaft support bearing were both completely shot.
do you have a single or dual driveshaft? either way, leave the truck/tires on the ground, set the parking brake, put it in neutral and turn/wiggle the drive shaft with your hands (easy fellas, this ain't the badlands!). or if you have a friend that's not an idiot, have him sit in the running truck, parking brake on and foot brake pressed, change the shifter from drive to reverse while you're underneath watching/listening to the drivetrain. |
Sorry it took me so long to get to it but i checked the rear end and all the gears and spiders look great and there was no metel in the fluid and it still continues to nock but its just on take off if i get on it and its like something is woren out and has play in it I put amsoil severe gear 75w90 :argh::argh::argh:just dont know what to do
