Cheap Gauges that are great
i purchased 3 gauges: trans temp, 0-45psi boost, and 0-1600 egt's and the pillar and the wiring kit all for $199. its this company called Glow Shift. they have awesome deals and sweet gauges in many colors. here is the website... http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/:U::U::U:

I just bought a set of them about 2 weeks ago. I love them! They look sweet at night!:choochoo:
Only thing I didn't/don't like about them is that the lights stay on at all times when the key is on. :madd: |
ya i havent got mine yet but they look nice. how hard is it to install a set of gauges?
|
Pretty simple.
Be prepared, they don't give you much boost line, so route it as straight through as possible. Never installed a trans temp gauge so no help there. |
oh but have you installed the EGT gauge? someone said i'll have to drill into something to mount it???
|
yeah man im getting the same or i got a friend who might sell me some bulllydog gauges cheap too
|
yea, you have to drill and tap the manifold for the probe. I took my manifold off to do it just to be safe. Shavings can be pretty tough on the turbo.
I'll see if i can find a pic of it and a write up on it. ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Here ya go. Here some good reading on the egt probe install... :clickme: |
97, why didn't you tape the lighting wire into the dimmer?
|
ya that would be a great idea then you could turn the light down.
|
Because on the glowshift gauges, the gauge power wire is also the light wire.
If you hook it to the dimmer you will have to run your park lights at all times. :argh: |
