Default Looking at this Cummins - Want opinions

Hey guys,

New to DieselBombers. But I'm looking at buying this truck -

LIFTED MANUAL 5.9L CUMMINS DIESEL 2004 DODGE RAM 3500 4x4 For Sale | LiftedTruckz

It's a pretty penny, but a stickshift with low miles. And I live in the NW so trucks up here tend to be a little spendier. But, what do you guys think? Seem like a good deal for a truck that would take some modifying??

if its the 04.5 with electronic wastegate, and youve found one with a 6spd man. and its not the "work edition" then my friend.... youve found a jewel!! dont hesitate!! bc it wont be for sale long... i got lucky and went to a used truck lot with a buddy and spotted one and went straight to the bank... early 07 with 5.9, CR, already had 33"s... ive got it to the truck its meant to be now!! if ya dont mind me askin... how many miles and how much they want for it???

Id try to knock em down a couple thousand, but check the tie rods, and ask them if the ball joints are good, check the blow by. Take the oil fill cap off turn it upside down and see if it will blow it around. Ask them if its ever had water in the fuel system, and ask if they can check the injectors... Because the injectors on these common rails have high fuel pressure and water will destroy these injectors. But othet than that it looks like a good truck... All common rails have an electronic waste gate with the 6.7 They went to the VGT Turbos. Its nothing to fret over.

I live in Puyallup wa. also.
I would take the truck up to the powershop in Enumclaw and tell them to do a full inspection on the truck before or if you decide to buy the truck.
pm me if you have any questions.
That way they can spot issues before you sink money in it.

I live close by. the power shop is a decent shop to take it to

long as everything looks good, and carfax checks out, etc... not too shabby...might talk em down a bit on price.
