HP GAIN Questions...?
Nice Vids....Great How to info for a Mechanic, who is noob to Diesel....:pca1:
I have a 93 2WD Auto ....Wondering what gain in HP I'd be getting with the Pin adjustment and 1/8 clocking of the pump assembly...? I am getting a K&N filter for it Tomorrow, and It already has 3" straight pipe exhaust out of the Turbo....everything else is stock as far as I know....??? I'll know more when I adjust the fuel pin... Again Great Vids.....:tu: John |
probably 20hp, but more importantly the feel of the pedal under you foot will be better. do the things i did in the video and you'll be impressed with what you just did for free...timing really helps
your trucks intercooled so you can easily get away with buying a good 40hp+ fuel pin...(instead of rotating the stocker, just buy a deep cut aftermarket) it'll run you $110 but you'll LOVE IT, she'll feel like a different rig. message a member "alwaysworking" on this forum about making you up a fuel pin.. he has 5 stages. they will all give you full power at WOT, just driving around town is the difference between the stages. or theres always the original performance pin, http://www.dennytperformance.com/products.htm oh and congrats on stepping onboard the diesel world....WE'LL SOON HAVE YOU ADDICTED !!! next thing you know you'll have an aftermarket torque converter, trans, turbo, injectors, LOL list goes on....have fun though.
