NICE. Well I still have to wait at least until my leave time to return to the states to take it out, but I am excited about it. I LOVE going under bridges and traveling next to walls and stuff so I can hear it, now it'll be really singing. Cool deal. Now. I heard a Dodge (before I deployed) going down the road, and everytime he shifted, you could hear the PPSSSS of a blowoff valve. To be real honest, I dont know what they do, all I know is they sound cool as hell. I wouldnt mind putting one on as well. Any insight on that??:U:

Cool, maybe i'll take mine off to and check it out.I love drivig under bridges and by houses and walls and hearing the turbo sing since i had my truck straight piped to.I also like going up my street and opening her up.But i have to be careful, because a sherrif and a trooper live across the street from me.

Let me know what you think....:5:

mine you can hardly tell a difference. but when it is to the floor you can hear it.
|
Yeah I yanked mine a while back. I already had a K&N intake on it. Removing the silencer ring didn't make much difference at all. My friend has his ring out but doesn't have a BHAF and you can't hear his turbo.
I guess it's the right combo of stuff. |
So anyone know anything about :humm:a blowoff valve???
|
I've never heard of that?
|
Well a blowoff valve is designed to blow off extra pressure built up when you shift. It keeps your turbo from overspooling. Its pretty popular on rice burners, like on Fast and Furious, you hear that "ssssss" in between shifts. Like I said, I heard it on this one rad Dodge 2500, and man it sounded freakin sick!!:rocking:

Its called a Waste Gate , You can block it off unless you exceed 35PSI

From what I have seen pop off valves are mainly used on cars.
