I'm here! (for about another week and 1/2) I've got the male twin to your rig! He's going to be getting a workout in the next 2 weeks! Headed to Salt Lake City to pick-up a 26 foot enclosed car trailer, then bringing it back home and loading it up with all my stuff and family and then we have a 2 day, 1200 mile, 4 state, 10k+ trip.

Were so excited to get out of this Sh*thole state!

Tye

I'll see ya in Colorado if ya end up there! I got a job in Littleton, a suburb of Denver, making almost double what I'm making here and we'll be living in Castle Rock which is about 1400 feet above Denver which is referred to as the Front Range. I look out my back porch and see Pike's Peak! :U: The cost of living is much cheaper and Diesel was @ $4.36 the other day when I looked.

Sorry about that! I thought your truck was an auto. I have your trucks twin brother! :5:

The tip makes a big difference! It is deeper and throatier. When I 1st put it on, I also straight piped it @ the same time. I made a trip to L.A. for a truck get together and as soon as I got back I put my little 10'in donaldson resonator on it, because when I shifted @ lower rpms, it literally was ground shaking! lol It was pretty bad that hole truck vibrated from the resonation off of the ground! I experimented on my 02 with the way I've got the exhaust done and really liked and decided to do the same to this one. Now on my 02, it was strait piped with a 5'in tip and it nowhere made the noise this one does!:choochoo:

dieselgrl4life 06-05-2008 11:58 PM

my truck is an auto, that doesnt make it a girl tho does it cuz i aint changn his name lol! sweet i wanted to get a tip but didnt know if it would actually make a diff in the sound, mine is just a 4" straight pipe all the way back? its loud but it doesnt drone or anything like ive heard people say the 3rd gens do?? lol when it was only held on by the clamps b4 we tacked it on, it fell off going down the road lmao!! i drove around for 2 days with the down pipe cutting off right under the cab b4 i could get too a welder!!! holy helll that thing gave you a darn headache at 65 mph the drone was terrible but low high rpms it sounded sweet! so loud! the essence of power !:rocking: wonder what a 6"tip would make mine sound like???:humm::humm::w2::w2:

AW HA! So I was right it is a girl truck (it's just in drag) :poak::D

I was trying to come up with a name for mine but couldn't come up with anything I liked so I just went with what my 2yr old daughter calls it, "Big Truck!" Some of her 1st words were "Big Truck" so it has sentimental meaning to it as well. My 9 year old (she was 5 at the time), named my 2nd gen "Goliath"

With the resonator and the 6'in tip the truck sound deep and tough1

dieselgrl4life 06-06-2008 12:26 AM

just curious how does an auto make it a girl lol!:humm:

biged681985 06-06-2008 12:34 AM

Buckshotmckee 06-06-2008 01:30 AM

dieselgrl4life 06-06-2008 01:46 AM

:2:hey my truck knows his name already so it would be unfair too change it now:mad3: ! my stick works just as well as urs, its just not as long!!!!:ha:

greasemonkey 06-06-2008 09:38 AM

now I feel a little weird about my truck having two sticks.:run:

Tye, my 2yo niece calls her dad's '05 on 35's 'big truck' or the 'man truck'! and I think she may have learned 'dodge' before 'mommy'. glad you've found a way to make a bunch of money outside of this stupid state, I'm still looking for that type of opp; but I have too much going on for work around here right now...

Oh yeah, Jon here, in the central valley near fresno; rollin in the '93 Mexican Mtn Goat...buy domestic, hecho en Mexico, baby!

Buckshotmckee 06-06-2008 09:54 AM

2 sticks are better then one! Especially if yours is longer then the other persons.:w2:

As for getting out of this state, if you don't look, you'll never find a way out.

Are you going to make it over next weekend for my farewell breakfast? It's in Nipomo @ Jocko's.

ahhhh, you so funny!! :bat: What are you doing posting here?? Aren't you to good for us cali guys?? :w2::tttt:

greasemonkey 06-06-2008 03:26 PM

no, I can't make it out there, I gotta work...I kinda just took a week off right in the middle of our busy season so I need to pull some saturdays the next couple weeks to make up for it. with all that extra money, you better be doing some serious toying around with your truck. and a VW tdi. and you could sponsor my truck, too...

and kyle, it's really unnecessary to bite.

dieselgrl4life 06-06-2008 06:01 PM

Having them gone does suck, I'm going through my third deployment w/ my hubby. But it is so worth it when they get home.

When they guys come home, we'll have to get together sometime.

dieselgrl4life 06-13-2008 08:44 PM

Is there some sort of San Diego Diesel Truck get together or club? When I get back sometime in November I would like to join if there is a club of some sort. In Virginia we had one where we would go four wheeling in the mud and/or sand for a day. It was always fun. Even the wife liked going, until we had the baby.

donnie 08-21-2008 08:40 AM

Almost two months have gone by since anyone has posted to this thread.

If I remember right, I think Iv met Buckshot and dslchk at a GTG in Cerritos some time back.
The names sound familiar anyway.

Im donnie and Im in Simi Valley which is just over the hill from the San Fernando Valley.
My ride is an 05 Silver 2500.

RAMNYOU 08-21-2008 11:04 AM

Hi Donnie, I used to live in Simi Valley. Used to be so nice I remember when I was a little girl it was all orange grove trees. How long have you been there?

greasemonkey 08-21-2008 02:10 PM

buckshot ditched the BS of doing business in our circus of a state and moved to Colorado.

There are a few of us in the valley but not very many. my brother is in bakersfield, has a Brown's Diesel/Thuren Fab'd 3rd gen that he races in famoso now and then, he's over on CompD, though...(whew, I don't get banned here for saying another forum exists!:choochoo:)

Yup that was me that you met in Cerritos, hard to believe it's been over a yr and a half since that meet. I'm still poking around a bit, just been busy w/ work and all.

DieselHardware 08-21-2008 06:45 PM

Was in San Diego for a couple years, born and raised in Imperial Valley, and currently living in Yuma, AZ. Not sure where I'll be next, but I'll be movin in 4-5 months once this job is finished up.

NukleusX 08-25-2008 12:20 AM

Donnie, I remember meeting you at that same GTG I think.

Oh, and I am still around here in the southern part of the state. When my trucks not broke. lol

Mopar Man 08-26-2008 01:39 PM
