Those are great mpg numbers! Without regearing I would have to have 36" tires to have the same ratios as Ragnar.
I have some big hills here and I have been pushing it hard and cant get above 975 degrees egt. I was struggling to stay in the safe range with 6.5 degrees and had to lay off on the same hills. I think that your 11 degree set up may be more efficient. I did the math and it works out that .004 inch is 1 degree of timing change. Thats the same thickness as a standard sheet of printer paper. Right now I have the injector rim bottom surface sitting straight on the receiving casting, metal to metal, both are machined surfaces and they are in a non pressurised space so it seems to be okay but I will make a paper gasket from printer paper stock when I get a chance. That should put me at 11 degrees, and also help seal the space. Thanks again. With the original timing I had to keep my eyes glued on the egts-it was a little stressful. Its so much better now, even with the fuel turned up and pushing it hard its fine.:tu: |
What spring do I need for the injection pump and where can I get one
