My conversion.
I have been working on my 96 F250 12V swap for a little over 2 years now.I have the engine built and now installed in the truck.I still have some work left to do but it is getting there. Here is what I got:
98 12V (yes it s 53 block) 116K ported, polished and o-ringed head 60lbs springs w/Ti retainers and locks MotorSports Supply cam and push rods 24v tappets Cummins block gridle Brad Ponci maxed 180hp pump,468cc,5k,dual feed and locked at 22 degrees DDP comp injectors adjustable pump gear ARP heads studs I plan on twins with the bottom turbo being S480.The will be a 62mm. I am using a Airdog 165 for fuel supply. The trans is a E4OD using Destroked adapters. I went with Autoworld engine mounts. Look at my webshots for some pics. |

Looks like a nice project :tu: Whats the purpose of welding the cam gear ? :c:
|
I went with a after market cam grind,Motorsports supply, and it came drilled. When I went to install the bolt and washer they interfered with the front cover. Some guys just weld some tacks to prevent cam walk at higher rpms.So that's why I did this.

very nice but I'm worried about that e4od lol :tu:

It will need some loving also.I do have a TCI billet convertor and upgraded valvebody. The 7.3 PSD was in the 500 rwhp range and it held that fine. But I thinks the 12v will be way above that though???
