7.3 idi non turbo to a 90's powerstroke?
has anyone ever done this convertion on would it be easyer to put a cummins 12v in?
:humm: |
Well I guess that depends if you're better at fabbing up mounts, crossmembers and such, or if you're better at wireing and computers :c:
|
if i got either or the powerstroke would be a wreck out of my local junk yard and so will the cummins....my uncle is really good at mounts and wireing.....i know theres a convertion for the cummins motor but i didnt know if there was one for the powerstroke anywheres
|
it would probably be easier to go with the cummins, alot less wiring issues.

I would guess that you could get the motor mounts and just bolt them in, if this is for your 93. If that's the case, you'd be best off getting the entire truck so you have everything. You might get a better deal that way too.

The frames would be the same so I honestly don't see why you couldn't just bolt it in. The computers would be the hard part. At least you wouldn't have to worry about switching dashes or gauges and things like that.
