Powerstroke to Cummins swap...
Hello my name is Brent and I would like some input from you all on a swap I'm planning to do.
I have a early 99 f350 that I'd like to swap out the powerstoke w/E4OD combined to a Gear Vendor spliter and install a 12valve Cummins where the porwerstoke is and want about 400-500 HP. from the Cummins any thoughts or ideas I should know about like what cam, injectors, pump mods, ect... Any info thank you, Brent |
not to sure i kno the cummins makes crazy power and its only a inline 6. but i hear its 15k swapp:argh:

Powerstroke to Cummins swap...
Fabing is not a problem I'm a welder/fabricator by trade. It's the money I have an issue with LOL. That's why I'm looking for opinions from the folks that know more than I. I've added up the cost and it's still cheaper than a new truck.

i would post up in the cummins place on here, they could tell you a lot more about tuning one up, i do know that you will need some pump work, injectors, lift pump, fuel plate (or just take it out), turbo, a built trans or a clutch if its going to be manual

just throw injectors, BTS, Tunes and oil at your Powerstroke and u will be dollars ahead and have 400-500hp.

A good tranny, Hybrids and a turbo will give your PSD 400-500hp... |

Agreed, but if you want to go the cummins route I would look strongly at a CR rather then a 12v...

BTS is a brand of transmission, they are damn near bulletproof, and get rid of the edge evo. i had it and my mileage was horrid too, i changed to PHP, you can actually send your evo in and get some PHP tunes put on it, PHP stands for Power Hungry Performance... i love it so far, get around 15 mpg around town, i tend to have a heavy foot though :w2:
