Powerstroke to Cummins swap...

Have you heard anything about Suncoast because I'm looking to pick one up in about 3 weeks it's the extreme tow package and converter for about $5K

I would look at a BTS Transmission, they can be had for about $4k, and look into a 6.0L transmission cooler also.

A PSD is just as reliable at the 400-500hp levels as a Cummins. I run around in my 450+ tune all the time for the last year or so, and have no issues whatsoever.

You have an E99 PSd so rods will not be an issue for you.

Get a customed tuned chip from any of the great tuners we have out there, or send your Edge to PHP like Lange said and have Bill tune it specifically for you, your mileage will come up. I wouldnt be worried about your motor at 250k miles. if you dont have any abnormal smoke now, you should be fine. These PSDs are very reliable. Even to find another E99-2000 PSd motor later on would still be WAAAAAAAY cheaper than a Cummins Conversion. and you are wanting to do a 12V conversion, you will probably have about the same mileage on it as u do now. FWIW, Cummins are not bulletproof.

i have suncoast clutches and shift kit in mine, soon their converter too, i have a PATC converter at the moment, i have been very impressed with my suncoast products, a few buddies have had them and have performed well :c:

Well I have to say you guys are great and thanks for the info too. Looks like I'll keep the PS and just build it up some and save the money for other goodies :jump:. I'll look for PHP & BTS on the web too. The BTS tranny does the 4K include a converter? Is there anyone injector brand better than the other? I'm looking for ones around 80-100 HP and I plan on a better HPOP with maybe Airdawgs fuel pump. Oh and the suncoast comes with a larger pan and larger cooler as well if you get the extreme towing package. Well I'm off to surf the web wish me luck LOL :tu:

i have the airdog 150 and have loved it so far, very small mpg improvement but it was some, and DDP has some good ones, as far as i have seen you really cant go wrong on any of the major brand names :c:
