Yeah. I was thinking a 383 stroker but I really want to go diesel. An I'd rather put a diesel in and I would love to put a 6bt in instead of a 6.2 since I have heard so much negative stuff about the 6.2 and 6.5's. Thats why I want to put 4bt then decided I'd rather just put the 6bt in and have that much more power.

Hell, you can put anything in anything if you have a big enough wallet and shoehorn. But an easy conversion is to go with what was offered from the factory and takes the least amount of fabrication. And lets face it, with a Blazer you are not going to pull a fifth wheel, gooseneck, or run with a pintle hitch and construction equipment. Just something to think of.

And yeah, I would love a 12 valve Cummins in everything I own, but I don't have that big of wallet.

It kind of depends on how much money, time and work you want to put in to the truck. It also depends on what you want to do with the truck. The problems that exist in the 6.5 and 6.2 are true but way over exaggerated and would for the most part not exist in any of the year 6.2 or 6.5 I said above to run. If you wanted to make sure none of them happens put head studs, main studs, and a fluid damper on it before you put them in. If it was me I would find a 6.2 powered truck pull all your gas stuff of your and switch it with all the diesel stuff on the other and sell the downer truck as a gas powered truck and get most if not all of your money back then throw a turbo off a 6.5 on yours.

The only problem is just going to find that doner truck that has no problem with trans and motor. I am also thinking about just putting the 4bt in it. But im not really sure. I kinda need the cheapest way but a great way. If you get what i mean. I dont wanna have where i put little money an "get what i pay for" but dont wanna spend to much.

Finding a doner truck wont be that bad and if you can't theres a bunch of 6.2's on ebay now for under $1000 dollars. You won't need a trans just a torque converter and you might have to change the governor in the trans.

How do you change the governor in the trans? And if I got the 6.2 what would it be like to put a 6.5 turbo on it?

I would just change the torque converter first and see how it does. To put a 6.5 turbo on it you will need the turbo, passenger side exhaust manifold, cross over pipe, down pipe, ether a f code intake and upper plenum or you will have to make one to go to your intake, an oil line ran to the top of the turbo and a return to the oil pan.
